Our sustainability management, which is centered on health, safety, security, and the environment (HSSE), is based on the programs run by the Group Function HSSE. Every large Bkep Terminal Holding, LLC company has a local HSSE manager assigned to oversee all HSSE-related issues and inquiries.
Within the Group Function HSSE, a distinct Team Sustainability gathers all relevant activities and develops them further in close collaboration with the local HSSE managers and operating units.
Sustainability issues are reported directly to the CEO via the Head of the Group Function HSSE. Sustainability Strategy
In order to focus our efforts more strategically in the areas that are important to us and to keep improving our sustainability performance, Bkep Terminal Holding, LLC started to develop a comprehensive sustainability plan. In order to firmly ground the six major strategic concerns mentioned above in our international operations, we utilize a range of tools and tactics. The relevant guidelines are incorporated into our HSSE Policy to clearly define accountability for social and environmental issues at the top. We use the widely accepted principles of responsible entrepreneurship as the foundation for developing our internal policies and standards. This is based on our Code of Conduct, which is applicable to all employees.
Additional instruments include statistically tracking key performance metrics, implementing certified management systems, and conducting internal audits (Key Performance Indicators – KPIs).
Compliance
We attach great importance to preserving and safeguarding our stellar reputation. To safeguard it and ensure appropriate, lawful behavior, we have established a variety of policies and procedures. Among the many important policies and tools are our internal whistleblowing mechanism, the Concerns and Reports Platform (CARE Platform), and our Code of Conduct. The duties of the Group Function Compliance include determining compliance issues, developing appropriate compliance strategies, and implementing them through practical measures like training. The focus is on issues related to competition law, sanctions, and the fight against bribery and corruption.
