Terminal & Storage

Complex networks of pipelines, storage tanks, onshore ports, and blending facilities are used by the energy industry. Ships deliver crude oil to these bulk logistics facilities, which store and distribute it to the refinery when the time is right. In a similar vein, they store refined product and blend it to exacting specifications required in specific markets prior to supplying it to the end user.
Gas terminals frequently receive deliveries from gas fields via specialized tankers or pipes, and then use pipelines for regional distribution, processing, and testing of the gas. Instead, they store gasses derived from crude oil, like butane, in areas without access to the main gas grid. These gasses are then bottled and used for warmth or cooking. The Bkep Terminal Holding, LLC invests in multiple companies that provide global terminal and storage facilities. Our aggregate storage capacity across US terminals is approximately 16 million cubic meters.

Oil Prodcution & Demand
Numerous factors can impact the equilibrium between supply and demand for energy and commodity products. Longer-term factors influencing demand trends include population growth, the state of the economy, and technical advancements.
Global Oil Movement
Transporting crude oil and oil products between regions is necessary due to the disparity between supply and demand in many places, which creates opportunities for global trade.

New tanks are hydrostatically tested before being placed into service. This process involves additional integrity checks, such as watching for possible leaks while the tank is filled with water. Additionally, cathodic protection prevents corrosion while regular operations are carried out. Additionally, tanks are grounded to prevent static electricity buildup during filling and refilling and, in the unlikely event that lightning strikes do occur, to deflect the strike. All of our facilities are routinely maintained, inspected, and watched over. Every tank undergoes a visual inspection at least once a month by skilled terminal personnel. In addition, there are additional annual exams.
